He also asked officials to keep learning and updating themselves about the progress artificial intelligence and make best use of relevant technologies in their functioning to contribute to enhancing India’s global potential.
Murmu said with the government’s increasing focus on promoting manufacturing, “it will be your responsibility to facilitate the creation of an enabling environment and infrastructure to increase trade across borders”.
“You are expected to bring new dimensions to trade negotiations, formulate innovative policies and provide new momentum to promote India’s trade. I know you will live up to the expectations of the country,” the President told the officials.
Murmu said that in the implementation of the GST system, “the audits conducted by you have been helpful in detecting revenue leakages and enhancing compliance measures”.
He said, “You should always strive for excellence. Be aware of the fact that whatever you do has an ultimate impact on the welfare of the deprived and deprived sections.”
