Here is a list of Hamas and Hezbollah leaders who have been killed in the current war

1. Yahya Sinwar, Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was killed by Israeli forces in Gaza. He was motivated by his deep dislike of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories and a deep commitment to the Islamic ideology of Hamas.

2. Hassan Nasrallah, Lebanon’s Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah, whom Israel said he had killed on September 28, 2024, led Hezbollah during decades of conflict with Israel, overseeing its transformation into a military force with regional influence and Became one of the most prominent Arab figures in generations – with Iranian support.

10. Fuad Venus: On July 30, an Israeli strike on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital killed top Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr. Shukr has been one of the key military faces of Hezbollah since it was founded by Iran’s Revolutionary Guards in 1982.

11. Mohammad Nasir: Mohammed Nasser was killed in an Israeli airstrike on 3 July. Israel claimed responsibility, saying he was leading the unit responsible for firing on Israel from south-western Lebanon. According to senior security sources in Lebanon, Nasser, a senior Hezbollah commander, was responsible for a portion of Hezbollah’s operations along the border.

12. Taleb Abdullah: Senior Hezbollah field commander Abdullah was killed on 12 June in an attack claimed by Israel, which said it struck a command and control center in southern Lebanon. Security sources in Lebanon said he was Hezbollah’s commander for the central sector of the southern border strip and was of the same rank as Nasser.

13. Mohammad Deef: Hamas leader Deif was killed in an Israeli military airstrike on 1 August. Deaf had been on Israel’s kill list since at least the early 2000s.

14. Ismail Haniyeh: Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated on 31 July during a visit to Tehran. He was a Hamas leader since 2017. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said he was killed by a short-range projectile.
