Cognizant guilty of discrimination against non-Indians, rules US court

A US jury has found Cognizant guilty of discriminating against non-Indian workers, ordering the company to pay punitive damages. The lawsuit accused Cognizant of misusing the H-1B visa program and favoring South Asian workers, resulting in the dismissal of non-South Asian employees.
