Bombay high court has ordered the Mira-Bhayander, Vasai-Virar police chief to personally respond to claims that a police officer extorted Rs 8.5 lakh from Pocso case accused. The officer allegedly made the survivor disappear to prevent testimony. This follows a complaint seeking quashing of charges from an October 2021 FIR.
