The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in April reached an all-time high of Rs 2.10 lakh crore, indicating a strong economic performance and the success of the tax department’s audit and scrutiny measures, according to tax experts on Wednesday. This unprecedented revenue collection also fuels optimism for the upcoming phase of tax reforms, which are expected to be implemented once the new government assumes office, the experts further noted.
